Start your Petaluma weekend early with Thursday Sunset Paddle & Party on the Petaluma River. Situated on docks in the center of downtown, The Floathouse offers an ideal no-fuss, no-stress way to enjoy the natural and urban environments of the Petaluma River, aka “Petaluma’s Longest Park.”
We’ll launch around 5:30 pm for a relaxed evening paddle along our calm tidal river as the evening light softens across the waterfront and historic downtown buildings. We’ll return to the dock about 30 minutes before sunset, gathering for simple snacks and relaxed conversation along the river.
Join us and be part of the Petaluma River Community. Rent a stable sit-on-top kayak or stand-up paddleboard, or bring your own board and join the community on the water.
This is a monthly event, & a wonderful way to celebrate the North Bay change of seasons. As summer arrives, the paddles stretch into Sonoma County’s long golden evenings; later in the season they shorten again with the changing daylight.
