Join us for a special screening of Learning to Be Naked – Healing Through Burlesque at The Phoenix Theater. Q&A with Director, Susan Wolf, and renowned burlesque performer/teacher, Kellita-the-Showgirl-Shaman.

Our provocative documentary reveals the transformative power of performance, self-expression, and radical body acceptance. Five bold individuals challenge stereotypes, explore their identities, and discover the power of stepping into the spotlight.

“Learning To Be Naked” reveals how burlesque can lead to reclamation, transformation, and joy. The film features a cast of extraordinary artists, including: An amputee and breast cancer survivor who proudly performs with her prosthesis; A stroke survivor who found her way from wheelchair to stage; A plus-size, Black, nonbinary performer who fiercely advocates for BIPOC and LGBTQ+ artists; Raw interviews and vibrant performances challenge stereotypes about beauty and identity.
