Life On Earth Art is thrilled to have the opportunity of hosting True Story Theater at our center in Petaluma, and to extend an invitation to you, your colleagues, friends and family— at no cost. We are offering these two workshops to help tend and build community for those dedicated and working in the mental health and social service fields.
About Playback Theater: ‘Playback-Theater’ invites volunteers from the audience to share what’s important in their lives. Actors listen deeply then spontaneously transform the stories into theater, portraying the heart of what they heard using dialogue, movement, music and song. While doing so, they build an atmosphere of empathy, respect, and a sense of common humanity. The event will take two forms: a workshop for those in the caring professions to experience playback theater, and a performance for the general public the next day.
This is a 2-day event – not required to attend both.
EVENTS: 3/27 10:30am-12:30pm – Workshop for those in Caring professions; 3/28 7:00pm-8:30pm – Performance or the public by True Story Theater
Both Events are free with a suggested donation of $20 so we can continue to hold events like this in the future.
