Petaluma Woman’s Club Speaker Series: Lecture 2 – Hormones, Myths and What Actually Helps
Dr. Laura Kimbro is a retired OB/GYN physician, women’s health educator, and speaker with a passion for helping women navigate the perimenopause and menopause transition with knowledge, vitality and confidence.
Drawing from decades of medical experience and a deep interest in healthy aging, Dr. Kimbro combines a thoughtful blend of medical science and lifestyle medicine to make complex topics understandable and empowering for her participants.
Her lectures invite women to better understand the profound transition of midlife, not simply as a medical event but as a meaningful new chapter. She explores the hormonal changes of the menopause transition, as well as the long-term health considerations that follow – including heart health, bone health, cognition, sleep, metabolism, and longevity. To Dr Kimbro, aging well is about far more than preventing disease – it’s about preserving strength, curiosity, purpose, connection, and joy.
