The Petaluma Arts Center (PAC) is proud to present New Voices: Recent Graduates from Northern California. With arts education programming decreasing and cultural institutions closing around the bay, the access to education and exhibition opportunities has become more critical than ever. The arts are our connection to each other through a visual communication that transcends language, generational differences, and disparate social values. Art provides a way to come together, to experience the visceral nature of being human alongside one another.
This exhibition was envisioned as an opportunity for recent graduates from local college art programs to receive support from the Petaluma Art Center. Curator and artist Emma Logan showcases the work of seven emerging artists connected through their attendance at one of three schools offering robust arts programming: Sonoma State, College of Marin, and Santa Rosa Junior College.
