Family-Friendly International Fare at Stockhome
With the 2018 opening of Stockhome, a sunny, counter-service eatery in downtown Petaluma, talented chefs and experienced restaurateurs Roberth and Andrea Sundell have brought their international menu closer to home. The Sundell’s who are raising their family in Petaluma are also owners of San Francisco’s PLÄJ Restaurant.
Creating a restaurant that is family-friendly was a key focus of the Sundells. The menu draws influence from Chef Roberth’s Swedish roots, as well as the Turkish street food found in Sweden, a favorite of the Sundell family. The restaurant offers affordable and healthy menu choices, including Kebab Plates, Wraps, traditional Swedish meatballs and Levantine salads, sides including Artichoke Tapenade, Pommes Frites, and house-made Hummus. Another unique feature of Stockhome is the assortment of Swedish candy. Sold in bulk, as that is how it is done all over Sweden, this style of candy is known as Lördagsgodis (which translates to “Saturday’s Candy”).
Stockhome is located at 220 Western Ave. and is open 11am-9pm Wednesday through Sunday for dine-in and to-go service.
Looking for more imaginative – and tasty – fare for your next board retreat? Stockhome is launching a “Chef’s Cooking Service” where people can have Chef Roberth come cook for special events in their homes, offices, or events. This new service is in addition to Stockhome’s catering menu.
