Singer Stella Heath has been performing since the age of eight and is deeply passionate about carrying forward the legacy of jazz music. Raised in the North San Francisco Bay Area, she was influenced early on by artists like Billie Holiday, Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, Edith Piaf, and Tom Waits. Originally trained as an actor at Interlochen Arts Academy and Syracuse University, Stella spent years working as a Shakespearean actress in New York City before returning to her roots in music—reconnecting with jazz while performing in Harlem.

After relocating to California in 2014, Stella began performing full-time and founded Bandjango Collectif, an eclectic group blending French gypsy jazz, New Orleans swing, and global folk influences. In 2019, she launched The Billie Holiday Project, a historically inspired tribute to the legendary Lady Day.
