At The Floathouse Petaluma, we invite you to celebrate this season of change, before we are really facing the cooler months, with their intermittent rains.

Take this opportunity to get out on “Petaluma’s Longest Park,” the Petaluma River, with locals and visitors alike. This early-evening guided outing takes place just after Halloween, when the moon rises before sunset and bathes the river in soft dusk light. Within moments of leaving the dock, you’ll feel the stress of the impending winter months fall away, as you face downstream and go looking for Her Majesty, the Moon.

Named for the full moon following the Harvest Moon, the Hunter’s Moon has long been associated with gratitude for light as nights grow longer. In a nice small group (we cap it at 10 guests) we take you on a peaceful paddle in comfortable Hobie pedal kayaks, gliding to a scenic viewing spot as day turns to night. A uniquely Petaluma way to experience autumn, community, and the river at its most glorious.
