It’s Not Trash: Reclaiming and Transforming combines a selection of 40 artists from Recology San Francisco’s Artist in Residence (AIR) Program and five invited artists from the Bay Area. All participating artists created their work from reclaimed materials, shifting what is perceived of as “trash” to reimagined art objects. The exhibit continues in our North Gallery with Strictly Local: Piecing It Together in Sonoma County where students, community members, and individual artists encourage us to question our relationship with what we consider “waste”. Curator: Lisa Lightman.
A Partnership in Action: This exhibition is a community partnership with Recology Artist-in-Residence Program, San Francisco; Petaluma’s Reuse Alliance; and the Recology Artstart Student Hub (TRASH), led by Recology Sonoma Marin. Please RSVP.
