Slough City’s own Annalisa Sher (AKA Ani Bonani) and Magic Shop’s Debra Seal are joining forces to bring you an incredible one night only art show at an exciting new space in downtown Petaluma, Water Street Studios.
The collaborative show, Armor, was inspired by a conversation between Ani and Deb while reflecting on their artwork together. What began as an exchange of observations and questions grew into a dialogue about strength, vulnerability, and the ways we protect ourselves—both physically and emotionally.
Both of their work explores the tension between defense and exposure: the instinct to shield and the desire to reveal. Debra will be showing large photographic works printed on experimental materials along side Annalisa’s graphite and gouache drawings from their college thesis show, The Ocean Within, that has not been shown for over 12 years.
