Come For a Day and Stay for the Weekend

One Day Stay

Day One: Enjoy the art, antiques, collectibles, vintage clothing, and some items that can only be described as not your typical mall merchandise in the many one-of-a-kind shops in historic Downtown Petaluma. Stroll over to the Petaluma Historical Museum, a 100-year-old former Carnegie Library, and take in their current exhibit. Pamper yourself with a massage at a downtown day spa. Catch some of the highlights of the film location tour. Taste port at the source at Sonoma Valley Portworks. In the evening, enjoy live entertainment at McNear’s Mystic Theatre which used to host vaudeville shows.

Add a Second Day

Day Two: Drive to Pt. Reyes National Seashore  and on the way stop at Marin French Cheese  for a tour and picnic lunch in a bucolic setting next to their duck pond. Continue up Highway 1 and enjoy views of the Sonoma Coast in Bodega Bay and Jenner. Turn inland toward Guerneville, and follow the Russian River through some charming communities. You’ll be back in Petaluma in time to sample ales at Lagunitas Brewing Company  and take in a live performance at Cinnabar Theater .

A Three-day Weekend

Day Three: A day of wine tasting begins in Petaluma’s backyard at Kastania Vineyards . Drive north into the heart of the Alexander Valley for tasting of some world class Sonoma County wines. After a leisurely day enjoying the fruit of our rich agricultural region, return to Petaluma and top off your visit with mouth-watering farm-to-table Wine Country cuisine paired with one of our excellent wines. You’ll still be able to catch the last showing at Boulevard Cinemas  of that movie you’ve been wanting to see.
