All Things Wine

It's common knowledge that there are many good wineries in Sonoma County and Petaluma is ideally situated as a starting point for a full tour of the cradle of wine country. Tours of Sonoma County wineries, including some in Petaluma are available through Pure Luxury Wine Tours, call 800-626-5466 to book or Terrific Tours, call 707-658-2748 to schedule.

Locals know that it is unecessary to leave Petaluma to savor all that Sonoma County has to offer - including great wine.

The area known as the Petaluma Gap is a unique climatic and geographical location for the growth of grapes that produce remarkable Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Syrah and Merlot. The Petaluma Winegrowers Alliance was formed to bring the grape growers and winemakers in this special region to one table to share resources and support one another's premium winemaking efforts. Check the Petaluma Gap website to see which Sonoma County winemakers use Gap grown grapes and which local labels are members of the alliance.
