About The City of Lights Driving Tour
Treat everyone to a true Petaluma Holiday Tradition with the
Annual City of Lights Driving Tour available online. The City of Lights Driving Tour map is the result of a
friendly decorating competition among the residents and business
operators in this Historic Victorian Riverfront Town famous for its
Holiday spirit and colorful family oriented events.
During the holiday season Historic Downtown Petaluma, which is
on the National Register of Historic Places, is traditionally abundantly
lighted with tiny white lights. Also, businesses compete for window and
building decoration honors. Many of the magnificent Victorian homes in
the downtown neighborhoods are lavishly decorated and residents all
around town go all out to festoon for the holidays. It's all definitely
"ahhhhh" inspiring! The colorful lights, imaginative decorations, and
the excitement of viewing the spectacular entries is the perfect way to
"Experience the Charm of Holidays Past" in present day Petaluma.
